Market Focus this Morning...
- Theresa May was ambushed by EU leaders at a summit yesterday as they warned that her economic plan for Brexit "will not work" and gave her four weeks to save the exit talks.
- Emmanuel Macron explained France’s hard line Brexit stance, saying the U.K.’s departure from the European Union must come at a cost or it would threaten the bloc’s integrity.
- U.S. stock benchmarks reached new highs Thursday on news from China about tariff and currency moves that could ease trade tensions. Treasury yields remained near their highest level this year.
- Cable still holding firm around 1.3270 in spite of PM May's Brexit plan setback. The pound nearly reached 1.3300 which would have been a two month high after the firmer than expected Retail sales data on Thursday.
