Market Focus this morning...
- President Donald Trump is raising the stakes in his gamble that the world will line up behind the U.S. to take on China over trade. Trump said Friday he’s willing to slap tariffs on an additional $267 billion in Chinese goods, on top of duties of $200 billion in imports is already considering.
- EU are reportedly preparing to give instructions to EU Chief Brexit Negotiator Barnier to help achieve a Brexit deal, according to FT
- Michel Barnier signals EU is ready to link payment of £39bn Brexit ‘divorce bill’ to a trade deal in major negotiating victory for Britain
- The EU commissioner for the euro said on Friday that commitments made by Italy’s finance minister about the country’s budget for next year were a move in the right direction.
